Since January 1, 2010 HCC Health Care Company and its management partners hospitals and PremiQaMed Austria overtook the overall management of four Austrian rehabilitation hospitals which are located in Bad Hall, Bad Schallerbach, Bad Gastein and Baden.
These four rehabilitation hospitals have a long-standing tradition regarding the treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases and rheumatism.
Far ranging renovation activities at an estimated amount of EUR 25 Mio within the next three years will make sure that patients enjoy top treatments in all areas of diagnostics, therapy and care.
Until the end of 2005, the „Rehabilitationszentrum für Lungen- und Stoffwechselerkrankungen Bad Gleichenberg m.b.H“ (former SKA Bad Gleichenberg) was fully owned and operated by the Social Insurance Fund for Farmers (SVB), one of the largest social insurance funds in Austria.
The SKA Bad Gleichenberg has a long tradition of in-patient rehabilitation of pneumological- and metabolic disorders; the 110 employees treat around 2,300 patients per year (120 beds).
A consortium of HCC, hospitals and PremiQaMed Austria has entered a longterm private partnership (PPP) contract with the SVB. From 1.4.2006 on, the private consortium has taken over the management of the clinic. The SVB remains minority shareholder with important supervision and voting rights. Under the new shared ownership, a comprehensive modernisation and expansion investment scheme (€ 10 mn) has been launched. After successful completion in 2009, the facility will have 150 beds, modern diagnostic and therapeutical equipment as well as state of the art hotel quality.
